Beautiful run of weather lately, and being a long weekend made it even
nicer. Continuing on my project of revisiting little-used lenses, I took

Some on-topic pics for a change. I decided to dust off a few of my
little-used lenses to reacquaint myself with them. Someone was asking
about the Sigma 30mm/1.4. A pleasant lens to use, but in no way stellar,
and not a substitute for the FA31. Little too quirky when shooting wide
open.
Nice. And you caught Kristen Stewart on a bike.
Agree with the community work. Sydney has a good fellow who funds a food

Really enjoyed the gallery, and the photo fair/ad hoc library is a
terrific idea. Would have loved to have been there.

Good idea, Brian,
I'd for one would be up for a Day in a life of Spottie, I should
exercise mine more. 2014 does seem a long way away, though. True, 1964
was when the Spot-Matic was first presented. But then Asahiflex was
first released in 1952, which makes it a diamond anniversary this year.
Wasn't it gorgeous? The prints are supposed to go back into the dark for
another 10 years after this exposure to light. I'm so glad to have seen
them.

Probably going viral, and you've already seen it. But I think this is

Someone mentioned the Eugune Atget exhibit happening in Sydney at the
moment. Managed some time to see it yesterday, and it bears taking the
time. All are 8x10 contact contact prints, and beautifully toned. Highly
recommended.
