I should have clarified that! It is no Photoshop but compares well with mid-priced
imaging programs and its free.
For a freeware program it is fairly well
to have seen results
from some of Pentaxes more exotic zoom lenses included.
It will be interesting to see the final conclusion on the *ist D on
Steve's Digicams site, he completed the review a while ago but the
conclusion is still to come.

The cameras firmware will detect what lens is in use and applies a
correction for each image.
They include a chart of the lenses that are currently included in the

Window Pro 3.5 to adjust curves and the images look
excellent, I was impressed with image no IMGP0077 taken at iso3200 after
adjusting curves and using Photo Brush 2.1 to remove noise using the
'auto clean skin' feature of that program the image is very good.

It would appear that the Pentax *istD body only is going to cost £1,400
here in the UK.
See this link:- http://www.ephotozine.com/news/fullnews.cfm?NewsID=1327
It will be interesting to see what the discounted price will be.

Pentax will have to release quality FAJ lenses for the *ist D rather

My favourite lens for use with a 35mm SLR is a 35mm F2.
From the Pentax prime lenses available at present which is the most
suitable for use with the *ist D that will give me more or less a 35mm
equivalent.?
