Noise Ninja is better some of the time, but not all. as far as i am
concerned, regular use of ISO 1600 and 3200 means using the noise as part of
the image,
i always use plugins. then i can automate them. also, if a plugin won't
support 16-bit images, then they have to be really, really good, and nearly
unique, before i consider them. shooting RAW is wasted if you have to work
in 8-bit mode. you might as well shoot JPEGs then.

what Rob and i are looking for is a 5D spec body. i don't mind APS-C at all

when the high end Pentax body comes out, unless it is a dog, i am going to

the first trick is that Pentax is a small company and can't easily work on

to continue to be full frame at the conventional focal lengths of

my plans for going this afternoon are now down the tubes, but my plans for
tomorrow have been rained out, so i think i will be going. i think Butch
said he was going.

I can't go now, unfortunately. There was a death in Nate's family and

i said more resolution with a lens that was just adequate at 6MP will not
buy you anything. who has tested a DA lens with a higher resolution sensor?
it is exactly the same as using a higher resolution film on a film body. if
it weren't true, then using super resolution film would make a lousy
a 645D for $5K street is a wild fantasy. i still think $10K is about right.
