I think the MV, like the MG and ME, do have a mechanical speed at
1/100, which is also the flash synch speed. When I had an MV I noticed
that the shutter, while it had the same specs as the ME, was either
clackier in operation or at least not nearly as well damped.

So what is the obvious flash compensation? I assume use manual

I have also used flash on auto instead of TTL and just dialed the

(aperture ring,
etc.). Includes front and rear caps. A beautiful compact lens that
gives you all the speed you need for available light shooting!

example. This
F lens also has somewhat better manual-focus feel than the F 50mm
f/1.7 I had, though it's still not great in that department.
Includes front and rear caps.
$95 including shipping in the continental U.S. I'll include $5 toward
shipping elsewhere.

Yes, the F is autofocus.

One of the LX wonks that I don't like is it's refusal to fire a flash
at all if it decides that there is enough ambient light to take the
picture without flash.

Linear -- it's the standard Pentax centerweighted gallium meter in
the prism, which doesn't require the circular polarizer. Though it
has TTL flash metering, it doesn't have the semi-silvered spot on the
mirror that requires light to pass through the mirror to a meter cell

accomodate the autofocus connections.
And of course that lens isn't yellow ... it's just the lighting!

The yellow is a reflection off the coating.

I'm still looking for an extra front grip for the Pentax P5/P50
camera. It's different than the one for the Super Program/Super A.
I'll even take one attached to a P5/P50, though it can be a parts
body.

I mean distance the lens is focused at, not focal length.

Does anyone have an extra front grip for the Pentax P5/P50 camera?
It's removable like the one on the Super Program/Super A, but I
believe it's a different grip.

Well, I haven't used variable-aperture zooms on manual cameras very
often -- they are far more useful and there is less inconvenience
with cameras with at least some auto exposure, because the camera
would then at least adjust for the changing aperture value when
zooming. But my point was that
taller than a Kodak Retina. Includes most of the
everready case (only missing the snap flap on the rear that holds it
closed. But you may find it more pocketable without the case and with
a strap that screws into the tripod socket.
Price: $75.

I haven't run into this problem, as far as I can tell, with my SMC-F
70-210. I have consistently enjoyed the results from this lens.
Here's a handheld shot at 210mm (exposure was 1/750, I believe,
aperture closed down a bit from wide open). Camera was PZ-1p.
.
It is a pretty spectactular lens.
To bad I almost never use it.
...
I have both these lenses. I have shot tests with them, but I haven't put
much mileage on the 30 and haven't touched the 35 in a decade.

I just picked up an F 28/2.8 from KEH, and I will try to make some
comparisons with the FA 28/2.8 I have in the next couple of weeks.
I did have an A 28/2.8 for a while, which is the same formula as the
F lens, and it never significantly impressed me. Some of that may
have been that the PZ-1 I
of equipment. I'll post a more complete review with
some photo-samples in the near future.
