I noticed on Boz's site that the A50/1.2 weighs less than the
K50/1.2.
I recently received both models of this lens, and after
weighing them on
an accurate and calibrated scale, it was clear that the A lens

Sigma EX lenses are usually high quality. They are usually
pretty expensive, too. I think that's what EX means, EXpensive.
;-) They are money savers compared to OEM glass of the same (or
better) quality, usually.
Personally, I prefer the Tokina Pro glass, though sometimes, for
the cost
Well, that allays that fear. The A50 1.2 has been disassembled
and nothing but metal was found in the lens body. The elements
are all glass. I guess the difference in weight could be in the
metals used, then.
Does the K perform better than the A? Is the focussing
smoother? Does the aperture

to view them which is a waste of time. I guess i'll have to
breakdown and
spend some time making a full web page or two one of these

Actually, in order for a person to view any picture on his own
I have the Pentax MH-RA hood for the A* 85mm f/1.4, if the
dimensions of that (in inches) would help, I'll measure it and
send them to you today after I get home from work.

Yes, I understood what you were saying. But, you must remember,
that anything you see on your screen was downloaded to your
computer either by a web browser, an FTP client, or as an
attachment to an e-mail. No matter how it gets there, it must
be downloaded. If you look in your web browser
I don't think I could explain this in technical terms except
that there must have been a significant lag between the time the
shutter button was pressed and the actual exposure. I guess the
pre-flash must have taken too much time or the battery in her
camera was kind of low and the lag was
