The 28mm F:3.5 Super Takumar is a magnificent optic. You will be very
pleased.

Whoops - I didn't catch the F:2.8 maximum aperture on the 28mm. I've no
experience with that lens... Only the 28mm F:3.5 Super Takumar.

I'm interested more in telephoto than in wide angle. I like to take
pictures of birds and fuzzy animals, with all that implies.
The bottom level telephoto for shooting bird would be 200mm. The 200mm
F:4.0 Super Takumar is a beautiful piece of telephoto design that will do
well.
WOW
I agree that #01 is the best. I can't tell you how delighted I am to
see really fine images done with a thread mount Spotmatic of similar vintage
to my own.
I also appreciate your information on how you scanned the negatives.
Beautiful work!!!

Anyone familiar with, or actually an owner of one of these lenses? I
think they were made 1960 - 62. Filter size 55mm. Semi-auto diaphragm. How's
the optical performance as compared to the later F:1.9 Super Takumar in
thread mount?

H,
Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SP Body Black
Super Takumar 50mm F:1.4
SMC Takumar F:3.5 w/hood
Super Takumar 135mm F:2.5
I am basically going to approximate what I used to have in Pentax
equipment from 1970 through 1984.

Hello,
Gad this is a busy list. My problem is fairly simple. I have a Pentax
Spotmatic that I think needs its' meter adjusted, and the the shutter CLA'd.
I live in Santa Fe, NM. Recommendations on where I might send this old
soldier?

Every now and again I'm reminded of my age. When I was first shooting

Hello,
The more I looked at it, the less inclined I was to attempt
dismantling a 200mm F:4.0 Super Takumar.
It got sent back...
