I installed Enfuse and tried a macro focus stack but the result is awful. Now I'm not sure if I should pay something or give up on it. Is Enfuse better suited to larger scenes like landscapes? What is the customary donation for this type of thing? is there a better way to focus stack macros in

The legs are independent of the heads. You can put pretty much any tripod head you want on your Bogen legs. My SO uses a CR2 system head and she's happy with it. One item you might want to consider is the Bogen Junior Elbow Bracket for the CR2 system. It makes it much easier to shoot
