Sunday, our photo society, PSNWA, paid a visit to the Arkansas Air Museum
here in Fayetteville. We were able to get into the museum a couple of hours
before it was open to the public. We were hoping to be able to roll a few
aircraft outside but the weather precluded that. I decided to tryout

Larry, when I need one or a whole folder of pef's or raw's to be visible, I
use a freeware program called Instant Jpeg from raw.

Well, I spent most of the afternoon trying to get Lightroom to play nice
with the crappy web site hosting company I have, unsuccessfully. Finally
resorted to just resizing a bunch and putting them on my site. This group
is from the Show, couple of shots from the roof and a couple from dinner
Made hotel reservations last night for the exhibit in Chicago. Wednesday
night at 11:03 pm central, got registered for GFM. Christine, add my wife
and I to the attending list. We will be driving on Thursday and returning
home on Sunday. Reservations are nonrefundable so now we have to be there.
I went to the Glory Hole Waterfall again this weekend, this time with the
PSNWA. I changed the shots I had on my website to the newer trip and also
shrank them down so they would load faster, with resulting loss of
sharpness. I really like the K 7. Even tried a couple of short videos. Will

because the PSNWA's trip there tomorrow was cancelled due to predicticed

Not too many elk visible, it was foggy and dark while they were out. The
colors were amazing when the sun burned off the fog. It was sort of like
driving around in Yellowstone because of all the traffic on

Friday, my daughter's fire spinning troop gave a performance at the Greek
Theater, University of Arkansas, for the Omni Center for Peace. She started
this troop a couple of years ago and they just keep getting larger and
better. They call themselves Kindlin Spirits. A search on Utube will

I will comment here too. I have the same problem sometimes with presenting
my work. I think I am too close to it to be objective. I put everything I
like together and it is just too much for the average viewer. I have really

Last week was the 10th annual Q Rally here in Fayetteville, AR. The news
reports say it is now the third largest Rally in the US. This year, I
decided to widen my shooting to include some of the people, not just bikes.

They want this rally to be family friendly so they keep a sharp eye out,
besides, arrests equal money for the city. All is closly watched by the
local cops. Maybe if I ventured out after dark, partying goes on till bars
close, I might see or shoot some of that. I tend to get out

trying to focus viewing on the subjects, and not on the cluttered
backgrounds. I have been struggling with getting calibration of my monitor
since I got it. Can't afford spyder right now. The downside of being

Just thought I should thank those of you who commented on my attemp to start
a blog. Nothing new on it yet, will be posting something soon. I was asked
by the leader of the Fort Smith Photowalk to send him the file for my wagon
shot. He told me it will be the winner for the Fort Smith walk.
I want to thank those that commented on my photo in the July PUG. It is one
of many that I really like from that airshow. Someone was asking about the F
100-300 on the list a while back, it has given me good results although

site. I know it is intended for dummies, that is why I have it. I am

I was so up from my time at the mountain that I ended up driving nonstop
home, chasing the moon. Was so great to meet all these names from the list
and to be so accepted. Left at about 2:00pm Eastern and pulled into my drive
at 4:30am Central. While trying to struggle with the front door at

We had a 1990 extended AWD Eddie Bauer Edition Aerostar. Never got stuck,
except when the transmission went out, which happened 4 times. First fix was
on Ford dealer, next time was my turn to pay, then after that AAMCO fixed
it. The second time they fixed it, they said no more so I traded it in
