An excellent choice. You are gonna be DELIGHTED with the images you
get, compared to your istDS!

They also offered me a five year parts and labor warranty
with no deductable for $32 which seems like a good deal on
an electronic camera. Assuming the camera checks out ok when
I get it, I just might take em up on that deal too.

Well after 12 years of service, I finally upgraded my istDS body.
I just ordered a like new (under 100 shutter count) K-5 IIs in the box.
I will be getting wider ISO range, higher usable ISO, better AF, larger
color LCD, shake reduction, live view, movie mode, and nearly triple the
resolutiion
When I adjusted the focus on my K10D, I used the
middle of the zoom range on my DA 16-45. I then
checked both extremes of the zoom range on it, and on
my 50-200, 10-17, and 24-90, and all were spot-on.

My gear came back from Pentax--K20D, DA* 16-50 and DA* 50-135.
Turnaround was just over three weeks, but it took me nearly another full

I sent all this stuff in because on the K20D the DA* 16-50 would not

That's good information. I had wondered at what focal length the
focus adjustment should be set on zoom lenses. It's obvious that it

hope it would always be close. My lenses seem to show only minor
variation in this
