I have also been waiting for the lens for over 2 months now (ordered
from Pentax Japan by Pentax Canada) while the 35/2 was readily
available. It is not shown on Pentax Canada site...
FYI: Shows on Pentax USA site. Did not check price.

a couple of A-series lenses for sale next week -- the SMC-A 50mm f1.4
and the SMC-A 35-70 f4 (the constant-aperture one, better optically
than the later A-series
