I'm back with another K10D question now that I was finally allowed

I can't really imagine why you'd want to use RAW+JPEG capture mode
when you're using Lightroom. The JPEGs become redundant.
But that aside, I import from card using Lightroom's tools, convert
to DNG on the fly, and put the converted files into a directory
structure that looks like:

I use the date for Lightroom folder names, then use keywords and
collections for searching, grouping and categorising. I don't
convert
to dng.
LR automatically creates folders using the date (not xxx_DDMM, but

Oh. I've never bothered to change it from the defaults.
I download my exposures after every shooting session and eliminate
the on-card folders with a reformat.

PEF, it takes less space on the card.
That said I import everything in LR and converts them to DNG.

PEF to fit more on the card and convert to compressed DNG automagically
while importing to the computer.

My recent testing showed, however, that if you need that little extra
for fast bursts of 4-10 sequence shots, it's better to set DNG format.

They need lesser space and I can convert them to DNG if/when I'll find a
good reason (not yet), while I cannot do the other way round.

I shoot DNG.
I bought the K10D before any 3rd-party converters were available, so
DNG was the only choice.
I like the convenience of embedded xmp files in the DNG format, so I
archive everything as DNG. Since I have to convert to compressed DNG
(to save space), shooting DNG doesn't give me a
