Love the first one.
Last spring I did a training ride out to a small town called Little River which
is about halfway to Akaroa. The last few km alongside Lake Forsyth had some of
the biggest clouds of winged insects I'd ever seen and I had to ride right
through them. Had to choose between
No, Ann, my wife insists on her month in Maui every winter, so another
trip to Alaska is not in the cards. We are thinking of Japan in the
spring, however.
We went to Alaska 20 years ago. Our trip lasted 16 days, and we had
15 airplane flights (including 4 that took off and landed on water), 4

22 years ago today I was , essentially, right there - but in 1992 those
signs wree not - though there were others with enormous skeeters around.
we left before it got into the most severe time for those critters to
attack.
are you thinking of doing that trip instead of HAwaii , Dan?
