what I found. The Staedtler Triplus Fineliner pens come in silver and
gray, have a very fine soft point, and write indelibly onto the
semigloss Epson Satin Photographic 240 GSM inkjet paper. So that's how

A little late, but...another digital option is to create a brush of your
signature in PhotoShop or PSE. You can size it and color it to fit the
print and it becomes part of the image when you print it. An example is

I usually use a pencil on mat paper or a ball point pen on gloss, ball
point pen for book signings. I took a workshop with a photographer who
recommended archival calligraphy pens. I would just avoid the gel ink
pens since they will fade fast.
