Quick grab, nuff said. But please look and be brutally honest.

I forgot you were using elements. You can approximate the
shadow/highlight tool in curves, although it's not as effective.

Er, no.
Elements 3 has the shadow/highlight tool.
No version of Elements, to date, has shipped with the Curves tool.
Excellent. Shadow/highlight should get the job done here.

If it was a full-length pic, would we see that she is
also changing a diaper with her feet?

I like the pic for the moment you caught. Just love seeing the heavy
use of technology there. Put a smile on my face. I don't like the
bright spots right behind her, it really is distracting and keeps
pulling my eyes away.

Great pic, Boris! But I would do a little more PS work. If you go to
shadows/highlights, you can bring up the skin values and hair detail
while knocking down some of those bright background highlights. Nice
composition and framing.

At first I thought this should be in color, but almost immediately
changed my mind. This is a comical observation about modern life, and
you've captured it wonderfully. BW reinforces the notion that
perhaps we should all slow down a bit. Good shot.

It is indicative of our modern society, It reminds me of a woman I used to
work with at a lab. I don't think she could go to the bathroom without
making 3 phone calls first :) Technically I'd try to adjust curves to get
her face a touch lighter.

The image is great, but I think I would have lightened the medium tones
of the picture a little but.
It would have been great if you caught the dog eating her kid while she
photographed some good-looking man while telling about him i the phone,
but I guess that would be too much to ask .-)

Hi Boris,
This has got to be one of the best photos I've seen on the list in quite a
while. It tells a great story, it's funny and compelling and interesting,
and the composition is close to spot on - can't be improved much, if at all
- the focus is where it should be, although a little more
