Now ~that's~ a wave!
Thanks again for you comments all, much appreciated
Ralf,
This was taken on Saturday after the wind had subsided a little ;-) It
was fierce on Friday as your great shot shows, Saturday was a little
calmer here, but it was still not easy to take pictures. This one was
taken near the long

Lovely.
Was that last Friday? That's when I had trouble staying on my feet at
the beach in Dunkirk. Took a few shots as well, but not yet processed.
Just arrived last back in Cologne, last night.

Thanks to everyone that commented or just had a look I took
Christine and Ricks advice and had a crop at it, also had a play with
levels to give a little more life. Better???

Thanks to everyone
I'm going to be the exception, of course, but I sort of related to the birds in
their circumstance of dealing with the heavy weather.

I like this one much better. Nice shot. Your work has done it proud.
Reminds me of the time I was standing deck watch on the Bonnie Dick
carrier in the Pacific, and we were taking green water over the bow,
itself 65 feet above the waterline. (I was tied to the island with a
150' rope)
A definite improvement. The only teeny little additional change I would
suggest would be darkening the sky a bit.

Drew,
Yes, much better.
The sea stands out and the lighthouse in juxtaposition.
The crashing waves make great action.
