that a year ago I had posted images of the same flowers. In 2015 they were with
snow and I was focus stacking. This one has no snow but it does have a bee
which convinced me not to bother with stacking this time…

I think it's an eranthus.
The scale had me fooled.
It's a small yellow flower, very early.
We had them at the prior house.
Good catch in the snow.
