Grace and I went to the Johnson nature center today. I shot a few birds while she fed apples to the deer. Cold, but fun. I used the A 400/5.6 with the 540 flash and Xtender. The 400 always leaves a bit of fringing in the background branches. Could clean it up in PS, but I didn't bother this

From: Christian Thanks, Christine. That's a flash on a bracket with a flash extender on top of th camera (and yes, that's me at the Indian river inlet in Delaware. I used that same rig to shoot the parrots. The flash helps to make the feathers really pop and to give them nice bright eyes.
