I like the color version better, - as I like golden fall colors.
In either case, - and especially for the B&W, I would also try to
play with the lens correction (in LR - vertical adjustment) -
to correct for the perspective.

Wow - fabulous scene! I am drawn slightly more to the color than B&W but
both are excellent. The golden leaves - on the trail and in the tree
tops - appeals to me, but the core of the photo - the great repetition
in the aspen stand - is there in color or B&W.
