Panic moment, I couldn't get anything to come into focus when I put the 30 year old 28mm lens -- almost 40 years now - on the K-5 . Once years ago I had to have it repaired because of a focus problem... . so I took it off, set it aside, and put on the 50... still fuzzy.. nothing in focus. as

Ann, this is probably obvious, but center may not be optimal for you. Stare at the viewfinder info while nudging the diopter adj back and forth a notch and you may get a sharper position. I also find it's easier to manipulate that thing if I remove the rubber eye cup first. On Tue, Sep 17, 2013

I removed the eye cup altogether.. don't like them - cuts out too much of the view. I think my glasses may have slid the diopter over... FOrst thing I did was set it when I got it... and center is about as good as it gets. but removing the eye cup probably made it easier to move the diopter

Ann, You have enough terrific images there for five years of calendars. You're doubtless a prolific shooter, but aren't you planning on more calendars in the future? I imagine now is not the time to make that decision. Wait 'til you catch your breath and consider the wide acceptance of this issue.
