Hi Shel, I don't own the 31 ltd, so I can't really compare. The FA 35/2 comes with a good reputation for sharpness, and its labeled the same as the limited with the AL suffix. The limited lens is much prettier and probably better built, but it sells for nearly three times the price of the 35/2.
