The colour filters are pretty useless for me as well, since I rarely
shoot black

Ramesh, in my testing of the DA 16-45 I have found it to be superb.
Images are very sharp. I have not noticed any aberration. (That is not
to say there is none, I just haven't noticed any.) Keep in mind that
this lens is designed for digital.
