Clicks and buzzes eh. The best description I have heard is kachunk whirr,
kachunk whirr. Then there was someone telling me theirs sounded like a
tractor trailer going up a steep hill.
I have to agree with both of those descriptions. With the winder LX the
shutter definitely does not just go

winder is a close second!

Come to think of it, what I really like is the sound of the MX *without*
the winder and with the mirror locked up
I like the shutter sound of my Ricoh XR-2s. It's quick and snappy; no
ker-chunk, just chunk. The same Copal CCS vertical-travel metal shutter
was used in the Konica TC and Nikon FM.

As I just mentioned in another post, I was only joking about the MX with the
Winder MX. Mine is very loud (the winder anyway). I paid virtually nothing
for the winder, coming as it did with the body, and it (the winder, not the
body) is pretty beat up, so maybe they aren't all that
