I was fascinated to note that the DS has one feature I commented would have been nice to have on the ist-D: spot white balance (whereby you can set custom white balance and the camera only reads the area within the spot metering circle rather than averaging the entire frame). Nice. -- Mark

There are other things in the magazine. Sometimes (a few times a year) I'll pick up a copy, mostly to read the ads and see if there's anything new out in the world that may be interesting. Mostly I read it for free at a book shop while enjoying a cuppa Joe. It's certainly not one of those mags
