Not really. Many years ago I did try some IR film with a filter (Wratten, I
think) and long exposures just for the hell of it.

The car is a boattail roadster. Auburn produced this style car. It could be an

A couple of people wanted to know what kind of car it is. I don't know,
I didn't see any recognizable badges, and the coachwork is most likely
custom, in that era, i.e. you bought the frame and running gear and
hired a coachwork house to supply the body. However if it helps someone

PJ, thanks for the comment. The story doesn't fit into a cropped frame, though;
so obviously I wasn't telling it well.
At my wife's suggestion I brightened the "young" figure, and I think it works
better:

That "Boattail" design was popular in the 1930s. Auburn and Duesenberg
were big in that design.

More than one story here... I think this is a case where "untitled"
works better as a title because there is much more here than the two
figures - I think it is one of the most interesting and appealing shots

Nice catch, but I think you crop about half the frame out and make the
story tighter. Often in photography as well as in writing when telling
a story less is more.

Well, It's a rainy day, and I started screwing around with the updog app
interface to dropbox, just to see what I could get away with, without
doing too much work. I've got a pretty good idea of the limits
available now.
Getting the HTML address is kind of a PITA compared to the old dropbox
like the geometry - not so much the bw rendering - the color one of

It's a good composition but could stand to be a bit brighter with a
touch more contrast.

I reworked it a little, and this version is a bit harsher, but in my
defense I was working from a jpeg, not the original raw file. I'll take
it down in a day
Yeah.. a bit more austere?
