A couple weekends back I made my annual visit to our local historical camera
collectors swap meet in hopes of finding a K version of the SMC 28/3.5. I
wasn't that lucky (I usually find a gem there), but I did find an M 28/2.8 and
a K 50/4 Macro. I shot a few images with the 50 on my Sony A7II
Thanks for the comments Mark, Dan, Jack and Paul.

So does that mean it's not a gimmick with Leibovitz involved? Or not ...

I think that kind of pruning where the tree is made to grow all in one
plane is called an "Espalier".

Thanks, Gonz!
The French do a lot of pruning. Many of the trees on the grounds of Notre
Dame are pruned into cube shapes. The guide explained that English
gardeners like to keep things as natural as possible, while French
gardeners like to demonstrate the domination of man over nature.

Here are a few shots from the sea-to-sea velocipede ride I did over Easter with
a friend.
Precious few pictures - it was too cold mostly, and those hills weren't going
to cycle themselves. It's a good trip, worth doing.

I love it, though I wish the tree was not "pruned" photographically
and the ends were visible! Amazing!

It is interesting, that this "universal" L-bracket is photographed with an
old Pentax DSLR. After all, Pentax is not the market leader.

Wonderful!
Perhaps we should try to schedule a PDML meet in NYC
Another from my trip to Monet's garden in Giverny.
This is one of many highly pruned and trained apple trees in the garden.
I believe this technique is called espalier.

Runs until June 3, Dan. So all of May anyway. Opening reception is the
20th (this Thursday) from 6-8 PM.
I'm unlikely to be able to make it down myself, and it would be
awesome if you and/or other PDMLers could visit at some point and get
some shots. I hope that Ted himself can make it buts he's
Wonderful!
Perhaps we should try to schedule a PDML meet in NYC at the gallery during
the exhibition. It starts April 20; do you know how long it will run?

I won't argue with you, Paul. Laphroaig 10 is outstanding, and a very good
value.
Thanks for the tip on Kirkland. Our local Costco does not sell liquor, but
others around do, here in Jersey and, more to the point, on Maui.

Jack,
I am not sure if you intended to send this to the group.
Still, I liked it very much with it intriguing curlyness.
I even imagined a square composition with the right part.
