Thanks, Rick. You are right about the collections. The 19th Century Landscapes exhibit was excellent but the overall collections were very engaging. Thanks all for the nice comments. The bees love these flowers in our garden so they hop around from one to another and their behavior is rather predictable. Being old-school I take single shots rather than repetition. Just focussing on one flower and then it didn't took me long. If you are not familiar with Dark Sky, It is the best weather app around, in my estimation. It provides very local forecasts such as "Light rain starting in 20 minutes, ending 45 minutes later." I rely on it to time my twice daily dog walks. That is really impressive, Henk. You caught it at a critical moment, just hovering above the flower. The body is sharp; individual hairs stand out clearly. The motion blur of the wings is artistically pleasing, and conveys well the mechanics of the landing procedure. Parts of the flower are in focus, and part slightly out of focus, but the entire flower is clearly portrayed, and the overall composition is strong. Excellent photograph; worthy of a wall, a book or a calendar.
