Thanks for your comments, Dan & Subash. I feel much better now the threats are gone. He did 8 tall branches like that in the course of the day. The most worrisome was a large Coral tree overhanging the house but their technique allowed them to remove it piecemeal without incident. Interestingly this version of the photo seems to have been discovered on flickr, it's up to 1400 views and 67 faves. I've never gotten into the social media aspect of flickr, so I've got no idea of how photos get shown to who or anything like that. PESO: Lumberjack
Had to cut some troublesome trees in my yard. Used a local father & sons team. They used a system of ropes to break the fall of the falling branches, working from the top downwards. Hand saw high up, chain saw lower down. The chap in this shot is about 7m above ground level. No fear.
