OT: Getting settled
I'm in the new house now. Starting to get settled in - unpacking; getting furniture out of the POD; assembling my home network so my internet computer, my Photoshop computer & my file servers can talk to each other; ... getting an electrician in to fix the F#*@-UP with the kitchen wiring (IDIOTS cut off the ground wires - GFI won't work because there's NO GROUND for it to detect ground faults). Got to get that fixed right away. Soonest I could get an electrician scheduled was tomorrow (Monday) from 12 - 3. I hope he can get it fixed in that time, but if not ... it will take however long it will take. I did get out today and found the nearest access point to the Greenway System, so I'll have a place to walk & maybe finally get to take a few photographs. Took Prince along with me and then we went to Lowe's & bought what I'll need to mount devices on the walls. Anyway, my life is getting back to semi-normal and maybe I'll be able to get back to productive photography soon. I had my K20D converted for infra-red several months back and I haven't had a chance to test it out yet. -- Vivere in aeternum aut mori conatur -- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG antivirus software. www.avg.com -- %(real_name)s Pentax-Discuss Mail List To unsubscribe send an email to pdml-le...@pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
Re: Whatever became of this lens?
I regularly use the FA 35/2 on the K-5 or K-70 when I prefer to have a compact set with me. I'm always happy with the results. Reading the positive test results from Yoshihiko Takinami on his website was the reason for me to buy this lens around the millennium change. Remarkably his website is still online without any changes: http://www.takinami.com/yoshihiko/photo/index.html Henk Op zo 18 jun 2023 om 20:18 schreef Paul Stenquist : > I have that lens but haven’t used it in years. Re: Whatever became of this lens?
I have that lens but haven’t used it in years. I generally use the DFA 24-70/2.8, an excellent lens. Re: Whatever became of this lens?
Ricoh does have the correct image on their site for a NEW lens: https://us.ricoh-imaging.com/product/smc-pentax-fa-35mm-f2-0-al/ It appears that just the refurbished lens has the wrong photo. Also, Juan Buhler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdbVcA5cTIs On 6/16/2023 2:38 PM, Mark Roberts wrote: coll...@brendemuehl.net wrote: https://us.ricoh-imaging.com/product/smc-pentax-fa-35mm-f2-0-al-refurbished/ For a moment I thought this was some kind of new, D-FA lens until I realized they're simply referring to the old FA 35/2 and have the wrong photo with it.
