I've had an Epson 3200 for a month or so now, and ever since, I haven't
use the lab to do a print. Scan straight off neg, tweak and print on the
inkjet.
It scans rollfilm beautifully. Only gripe I have, the holder for MF only
allows you to do one frame at a time (the 4x5 holder is on the same

Sorry for the late response, but I've only just been catching up on PDML

Love the 3200. No big issues with it, scans beautifully. Only minor
quibbles:
* Wish the 120 film holder could do strips instead of one frame at a time.
* The Epson photoshop driver could be better.

I did find a quirk with the 3200 that I must share with you.
I tried scanning a 8x10 negative assuming I would be able to
get a 4x9 crop of it because that is the size of the overhead
lamp. I did not use any of the film holders, I just laid the
negative on the glass.

The seller says it is for both the SMC and the FA versions. The A* has a
narrower barrel and a bulbous front, so I guess doesn't fit the ring.

I think the Lester Dine is the same as the Vivitar Series 1, but with
extra markings. I love the Vivitar.

Yep, what Peter said. I admit I don't use the M135/3.5 much (I have a
few other 135s), but it is a great performer. I like the M200/4 (and
it's slightly more convenient brother A200/4) a lot. Both work well on
digital, and are really convenient walking-around lenses. Picked up the
M135 for
