From the pictures I have seen its a non issue on the D7100. I'm sure it can be induced though. It's the nature of the bayer pattern. The Foveon avoids it because there is no interpolation. The Trans-X avoids it because IMHO it is sacrificing fine detail due to the way the sensor is laid out and

I'd love to see a comparison between a tamron 60-300 sp and the 55-300. The tamron is razor sharp up to 200mm and is quite decent at the long end too. Stop down to f8 and its really sharp, at least up to 200-250mm. Too bad color rendition isn't nearly as nice nor is contrast. On Wed, Jul 17, 2013

Wow an old Massey! The farm I worked at a long time ago had an old 55hp Massey. It was a great, reliable tractor. We had a couple closed cab, modern 110hp Masseys too. They were amazing tractors. A couple of 55hp Kubotos (sp?) as well. Massy-Ferguson always made first rate tractors. Cool captures.

I use a 25mm extension tube with my 16-45 all the time and it is a great combo for macro. Especially for flowers. Wide open there is all sorts of magical glowiness. The 35-105 works decently too. Heck extension tubes are worth trying on any lens. The results will surprise you for better or worse.

So sorta I fixed my 16-45. I will send my worst copy off to CRIS and have them tighten and align it since I think it has problems beyond just a wobbly barrel and looks sort of decentered. My fix was simple. Realizing that when the barrel was aligned and not drooping I was getting fairly sharp

Full frame lenses on APS-C are a mixed bag. A 16mp sensor is going to outresolve all but the best lenses. On one hand, you are taking from the sweet spot which is where the lens resolves the most detail, but on the other hand you are not utilizing the full image circle of the lens and thus
