Re: PESO - Beetle
Good question, Mark. Beetle's life size is 3-4 mm and image chip is 44 mm. The posted pic is uncropped. Eyeballing it, I'd say the beetle's image reach across about two thirds of the frame, like 30 mm or thereabouts. So a magnification between 8 and 10x somewhere? Have no idea what type of beetle this is - how many million species of beetles are there? He's about twice the size of a lady bug. I rather liked the iridescence (which I suspect would be spectacular in the sun) and the little white tufts on his sides: http://knarfdummyblog.blogspot.ca/2015/09/beetle-on-leaf.html Any help on species would be appreciated. Hope you enjoy.
