Larry,
I have looked at all and I liked some of them.
On reflection, I've noticed that all the ones I liked had either a
black or almost black background.
Perhaps I feel that the background color (does not matter which) is
competing for attention and
somehow overpowering the colors of flowers.
I
Working on my backlog, I took some photos a few nights back of flowers, playing
around with lighting, and lighting the background with a gelled strobe.
I think this one is my favorite.

I think it's better in color, the OOF areas are really distracting to me
in BW.

Colour, same as Peters remark.

Hello Rebekah,
I like the color better. This is a real difficult shot to execute
because of the DOF issue. You will not be able to get all of the
flowers in focus, so picking the focus point is crucial. As
presented, the focus point doesn't jump out at me - it looks more
towards the middle.
Thanks guys. I see what you mean, I hadn't looked at it that way, and
it's good to know. Do you think this picture would lend itself to one
flower being colored, like this?

Or should I just go back and take
No, I think I would go back and shoot some more - you should try many
things to see what is going to work best. If you are only taking a
shot or two, then you are not exploring the subject to it's fullest.

it helps me learn so much faster.

Rebekah, to me on the ibook screen, the hilites are pretty loud. Try
and tone those down a bit and maybe, just a tad, more DOF. Not much,
just a tad.
