should there be a little spring behind the ball-bearing. I didn't see it when I disassembled the lens, moreover the metal behind where the ball-bearing should go seems to have a spring behind it, so I guess I just need the correct size ball. I measured the hole and it is about 1mm.
I just demolished a pen and am trying the ball from the tip of the pen :-)) Frank
