Re: GESO: Swan Lake (Lagoon?)

2016-06-27 Thread Nicole Jacque
Thanks!

I don’t know if it was technically a lagoon or not, but it was a small body of
water separated from the ocean. I didn’t follow it far enough along to see if
it connected with the ocean farther down or not.

I didn’t have a very wide angle lens, but I just counted 29 swans in one
picture, which doesn’t cover all of the area. It was quite thick with them.

Nice images, Nicole.

was that really a lagoon? South Jersey in general, and Ca[e May Point in
particular, are over-run with mute swans. They are displacing native
species, and that causes great concerns, as Cape May is a birding hot spot.

I have seen swans in Lake Lilly and Lighthouse Lake, but never that many.

Good work in any event.

GESO: Swan Lake (Lagoon?)

2016-06-25 Thread Nicole Jacque
One last set of photos from my New Jersey trip. While in Cape May, I stumbled
across a lagoon that had about 50 swans in it. Luckily I caught a glimpse of
them through the bushes, or I would have gone right on by…
