My taste in abstracts runs towards those that are really abstract. In that regard I like Stairwell #1 of these the best. Raw and powerful geometry, great use of color and shadow. The problem with being that abstract is that viewers sometimes get hung up on guess what the subject matter is. I

I agree, Ann, but when I posted the original 3 image gallery, someone suggested lightening the left side of one of the images, and someone else suggested trying B I tried both of these techniques, and tried to clean up the two best image, which were Stairwell 1 and Stairwell 3. Those images

I think you are overthinking this... 1 and 3 of the original set were jsut fine as is... I don't see any reason to clean up the stairs in what used to be #1 Getting confused with the numbers I do like the slightly lighter abstract one but don't remember if that was how you had it

#1 and #3 are my faves - I'd go with the more abstract #1 of the pair. The somewhat irregular edge of the stairs contrasts with the spiral shape. Very nice! On 5/26/2016 1:54 PM, Daniel J. Matyola wrote: A small gallery. only 3 images. Our hotel in Athens had an interesting stairwell

Nice work, Dan! The more abstract ones work best for me. Stairwell #1 is just about perfect. The warm sandy tones in this colour rendition are great. Were it mine, I'd go straight to b and lots of contrast. It's perfect for that treatment I think. On Thu, May 26, 2016 at 1:54 PM, Daniel J.
