I just responded to Alan at a bit more length and included a photo of
mine from Taos ...my guess was that was where you were.

If I'd known youwere going to Taos too I would have made a couple
suggestions... Taos was the first place I did summer theatre, in the

summer of 1956.. I lived just off the plaza on the road down to the
Harwood Foundation.. Went back several times- in the 80's and 90's

and on my cross country road trip in 2001... escaping 9/11 The pueblo
was in a sad state back in 1956... and in the 80's ...

Guessing you also visited Rachos de Taos and the church of reknown.. you
post has me waxing nostalgic.look forward to your

photos of the area

That is one way of putting it.

The background is not the Middle East, of course, but Taos Pueblo in New

Re: PESO: Old School

Dan typoed the name of the city - he went to Santa Fe, New Mexico... The
adobe buildings are Pueblo Indian style... I'm guessing he took that shot

at the Taos Pueblo ... but there are other possibilites in the area -
I'm just thinking that it surely must ahve been a destination for his
groupat some point on the weekend...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taos_Pueblo

Taos, New Mexico is about 60 miles north of Santa Fe, which is the
capitol of New Mexico. Santa Fe and the town of Taos have many adobe
buildings..

Taos is quite a tourist town, for skiing in the winter.. it is known as
an artist's Colony going back to the early 20th century and the Taos
pueblo is

a must see for a visit to the area...

Here is a shot of mine from the town Taos from 2001.. it had been the
home of Matriarch of the artist colony back in the 1920, Mable Dodge,
when DH Lawrence was among thoses in residence. Artist Georgia O'keefe
