Barkley, I have to say I agree with Lou. I have a few gripes about his
List. It's too American soft-left oriented and that makes it a little
self-preoccupied and even provincial (there is a wider world and
American listees need to remember that we're not all totally up to speed
with the ins and outs of American everyday politics for instance). Me
personally, I don't quite agree that anyone who uses either of the "R"
words is automatically a sectarian, either. But that said, it's a great
list and if we can deepen its international base (and concerns) it'll be
better. As Lou says, you can always go and bash loony Trots and Maoists
over the head on M-Int any time you like. The talking tractors will
still be there; they won't go away. I still think we should avoid
cross-posting. I bought my daughter a cat. Now we have seven and they
all fuck like crazy. I hate that sort of promiscuous thing.
