As a planner for the City of Berkeley I can attest to the
usefulness of "schmoozing", almost however it is defined. It's
about anything from gossip and meaningful information shared
(i.e., facilitating the integrative coordination of divided
labor), to ladder climbing. But then it's a
The Sacramento Bee had an article about a recent Labor Dep't study
showing that schmoozing added significantly to productivity. The
article did not give much of a lead as to the source and I could not
discover any traces on the Dep't of Labor web site. Does anybody know
of this report
