I think this demonstrates a couple of things. The press emphasized
Jane Fonda speaking which to me is a way of bringing up the sixties.

Any capitalist market economy will be rigged in favor
of the wealthy. In a market economy goods are rationed
by price so that the wealthy automatically are
privileged in their access to goods.

But he is not a knee-jerk (or just jerk) libertarian. He is associated with the
Mercatus Center (anti-regulatory) and the Independent Institute (very
conservative,
but anti-war). But on his blog he is surprisingly open minded. Max has had
more
interaction with him; I have never met him.
On
it seems clear today that Friedman’s enthusiasm for an all-volunteer
armed forces overlooked a serious flaw in the way the proposal has
