Test of what? Are we testing whether Obama is a true communist or
not? Or whether he is a true feminist or not?

Obama is a socialist. Joe the plumber (a worker, ergo someone with a
worker's consciousness) told me so.

How about true liberal in the sense of George McGovern or even Jimmy
Carter (in some respects)? What's obvious now is that he is a true
Clintonite. Frankly, if Hillary had been elected, you'd see the same
people and the same policies Obama is pushing. As her husband once said,
we are all Eisenhower Republicans.

I still think it is too early to say... we should consider the simple
possibility that Obama is a young, non-pedigreed (in blue blood sense)
-- and yet a product of the meritocracy (in the Harvard sense) --
black man who has been (even against his wishes) cast as a Messiah by
his followers while at the same time subject to the return of naked
racism and bigotry ... and with this baggage, I would assume, comes a
sense of great trepidation and uncertainty, which manifests itself in
the grim, clipped style of speech and expression, the progressive step
forward followed by a turnaround to safer ground.

BTW, Carrol's post on movements and individuals was absolutely
brilliant.

I call for a Henwood mediated and moderated debate on Obama between
Proyect and Huato somewhere in the city or surroundings! Keyboard
leftists such as this author are in sore need of direction!

Actually, his later memoir made explicit that he wanted to emulate Bill
Clinton.
