Can you please confirm that this is a powderpost beetle? It measures 5 mm in 
length. Several were found dead beneath a woven basket that now has many exit 
holes, I'm embarrassed to admit. Thank you!

Actually brass wool works better- doesn't rust.  It's available from
suppliers like Grainger and McMaster-Carr in cases.

[pestlist] Mouse proofing doors

Dear Christian

Metal-coat the threshold and the outer bottom lip of the door to negate
gnawing (e.g., aluminium or, more attractively, brass threshold cover
plates). If that does not reduce the gap below 6 mm then try this:
metal filled excluder
.
Install the excluder strip with the door closed. Looks like the strip is
cheaper to buy in the US and ship to the UK than to buy in the UK.
