Ron,

My main interest is what the hinge part that is attached to the door looks
like. I have the part that stays in the bottom, and it has arms with two
metal "dowels" but I have no idea what the part that attaches to the door
looks like. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

john

Hi John,

No, I've never taken the door off. Looking at the door installed though,
there is a bit of a cut out area so you can see the hinge from the inside
surface of the door. It looks like the sliding part is curved down. The
parts on the door seem to raise the curved parts up a bit when it closes.
I'll see if I can do a short video in the next day or two.

Ron,

Was just looking over my door hardware and the photos you sent. Have you
ever removed the door from your unit? I curious as to how the bottom
hinge/pivot function. I have a pair of, what appears to be, identical
pieces as the ones installed on the bottom 2X4. They also look like the
ones that are recessed into the door sides in your photo, but I'm not sure
how they would function together.

Thanks again,

John

Thanks Ron. I had a crank that had a female end that would accept a 3/8"
piece of "all thread" but the outside diameter was too large for the
decorative escutcheon plate that mounts over the hole in the cabinet. Don't
happen to have a photo of the details of the front door, would you. All I
have is what appears to be piece of 2X4 that fits in the bottom, with a
couple of pieces of hardware on it.

I've got a 611. They are supposed to be the same except for decorative
parts. Could you use a Victor crank and re-therad it?

Door dimensions: 17 1/8 wide, 20 9/16 high, 3/4" thick including the
veneer. It looks like there is a taper on the top so the backside dimension
for the height would be a little less.

I have tried several that I had acquired over time and none fit correctly.
it seems the threaded portion is 3/8" X 24 TPI. Length measures appx 7"
from threaded end to bend, with a drop of appx 4.75".

Also need front door, or photos of same with measurements.

Re: [Phono-L] Wanted: Winding handle for Columbia 601 Viva Tonal

2017-04-05 Thread John Selph via Phono-L

Thanks,

John
