You've probably not tried our support to get help or you wouldn't act like that. PHP is one of the most efficient language and it works very fine with every of my applications. PHP supports XML, Forms and HTTPs very well and you can believe me when I say that you're not wasting your time. PHP is easy to use and it got a nice documentation plus a nice support, take a look at http://www.php.net/support.php.
