PLA only modifies attributes as defined by the objectClass(es) of an entry.
You should be able to use the import window to modify any other
attributes, as its just parses an LDIF.

I use Sun Directory Server, and quite a few attributes for users are
marked by the directory server as "operational". There are certain
attributes that are kind of important for me to be able to modify (such
as nsrole or nsroledn), but I can't seem to find a way to modify these
