OK, this indicates that you have a problem with your ldap server. If
ldapsearch wont work (an LDAP client), then PLA definately wont work.

I had successfully running phpldapadmin for more than
a year (version .9.6 I think). Last Friday morning, we
had a major storm which caused a power outage long
enough so the UPS's were drained and all the servers
