[Pingus-Devel] MacOS X Intel
I compile this package on my iMac Cor2Duo with 10.4.11, it also works fine on my MacBook (10.5.2). Someone in IRC said this didn't work on their 10.5.4, but since I still have 10.4.11 10.5.2 I can't confirm this, I will post my results once I update... http://www.mediafire.com/?myzilfyzj4d Please note that though the finder may say this is universal, the pingus executable is Intel only, so when this gets added to the download page- keep the current link up ___ Pingus-Devel mailing list Pingus-Devel@nongnu.org http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/pingus-devel

Re: [Pingus-Devel] MacOS X Intel
Well, I just updated my laptop to 10.5.4 and pingus runs fine.. Maybe it an issue with a QT update, or maybe his computers just screwed... Anyway might as well update thee downloads page to include my version, just remember to keep the current link up; the current link is only 0..7, but it's PPC. Re: [Pingus-Devel] Apple has Pingus!
The PPC build was done by the G4M forum, I am not making universal builds; and I don't have access to a PPC mac any more. I can't figure out the sound thing- SMC, ETR, STL Defendguin all work fine- Every build of pingus on Mac has had bad sound. A pop-up menu for resolution would be ideal, but I don't know if I can do it, the current launcher was made kinda quickly with applescript. It doesn't really matter who host the file, since MediaFire hosting is free; I just like the fact that Media-Fire has a downloader has a download counter. ___ Pingus-Devel mailing list Pingus-Devel@nongnu.org http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/pingus-devel

AFAICR, this level was in 0.4, I think I beet it once after I turned on unlimited actions. I can't beet it now. Guess I have to write some code to fix that. They do seem to load in the editor, I tried to us ImageMagik to convert all the PNGs to 16-depth; that silenced the error, but they still didn't load. So I redownloaded the images from GIT; and took a screenie of the same level in the editor http://www.mediafire.com/?ko1f37g2rjgy5ak Please add me as a member on GoogleCode, so I can create a wiki page there josh.jpeng...@gmail.com Done. Re: [Pingus-Devel] Pingus 0.7.6 - Xmas 2011
Well, I commited some new mac scripts to git; I'll update the wiki next- they are much cleaner than the current makefile method. Once we get the GFX probs worked out, maybe you could do the 32-bit build? It crashes as soon as I click on the play checkbox of any level that I select. Please try to start pingus in a terminal, maybe it reports some errors there. To do so, cd to the folder containing Pingus.app (e.g. cd /Applications/Games/), then execute Pingus.app/Contents/MacOS/pingus Here I get the following output: 88 $ Pingus.app/Contents/MacOS/pingus Welcome to Pingus 0.7.6! userdir: /Users/jonas/.pingus/ datadir: Pingus.app/Contents//data language:German (de) sound support: enabled music support: enabled fullscreen: disabled 2011-12-27 20:30:10.229 pingus[328:613] Warning once: This application, or a library it uses, is using NSQuickDrawView, which has been deprecated. Apps should cease use of QuickDraw and move to Quartz. 88 2. It defaults to German, which is ok, but the --language option does not work to change it. Sorry, that's my fault. I just saw that the language was selected at compile time instead of run time. To fix it, open Pingus.app/Contents/MacOS/pingus using a text editor and change the second line to lang=what you need. Currently the line reads lang=de but it should be: --88-- lang=`defaults read .GlobalPreferences AppleLanguages | tr -d [:space:] | cut -c2-3` --88-- Apparently I missed to escape the back ticks, so this was executed while I build pingus already. Another problem with this language detection is, that it only works with two-letter codes, so something like pt_BR won't be detect correctly. Which version of OSX should it work with? I'm running 64bit 10.7.2 I build it on 32 bit intel, using 10.5 Leopard.
