Is your pinhole diameter .22 mm? .22 mm / 38 mm = 173, 38 mm is about 1.5 in. If its .22 inches then your F stop would be 6.8. I hope you measured your pinhole diameter in the metric system. This is the kind of stuff that made the Mars Climate Orbiter burn in Mars atmosphere, some time
