So, yes, fiber optic cable IS
used in 35mm Polaroid backs, but it's one solid piece fused ou of thousands
of individual strands of glass.
That said, a single optic fiber should be able to serve as a pinhole.
I think you might be mistaken. Light travels through a fiber cable not

@ four times the shutter speed. And so on.

Believe it's German for 'man'.

OK, you just reminded me, the address of the manufacturer is

Where do you buy Woca's and how souped up are they?
Would that be 'Toy Camera artists' or 'Toy Camera Artists'? Sorry, just
being a smartass.
Simon
The Toy Camera artists didn't
show any interest, so I moved over to this group.
Guillermo,
I know -- I've been using various plastic contraptions for a while now,
but still found the Woca's lens just plain crap, as compared to the
'atmospheric' effect you might get with some of the other cameras. My
pinhole conversion acutally made the camera a great deal sharper (except

I bought mine in a second-hand store in Krakow, Poland.
Souped up means they have a glass lens (worse than the plastic one in
the Holga, from my experience -- not a trace of a sharp image anywhere
in the frame) and a built-in flash. The manufacturer has a web page with
full specs, but I can't
OK, all of you guessed right. I am the guy who posted pictures from the
camera a couple of weeks ago. I posted the pictures OF the camera
because a few folks expressed interest in seeing them.
What this camera used to be was actually a Woca, a somewhat souped-up
Holga, made by the same

I just voted in the survey, but I want to take the opportunity to lobby
for the design with the pinhole photographer on top of the world. That
really makes a statement, doesn't it?
Seriously, though, it's my favorite because it says world AND pinhole
photography without looking corporate. I love
This may be too late, as I didn't have a chance to read my mail since
Thursday, but I think that Colin's edit of the press release reads
better than the one posted on pinholeday.org.

I second the Worldwide (not World Wide) motion, for brevity's sake, but
will not get huffy if nobody listens. Voting's voting, after all (no
quips about FL, please).

On third thought, I think I'd fourth that. I just thought about the
monthly magazines, which would need more notice to run any meaningful
amount of material on the subject. Perhaps a bit more discussion would
be needed before everything gets set in stone?
Simon
If they're still open, I vote for last Sunday in April.
Mark,
Bookboard is just heavy cardboard, about 3/32 thick, originally meant
for hard-cover book binding. It offered the structural strength I needed
and was easy to handle and cut.
Since several people have expressed an interest in seeing my camera,
I'll try to post a few pictures soon.
Thanks for all your help. Guillermo's argument for a bigger-than-optimal
pinhole strikes me as the most likely to produce better far-edge
sharpness. though this would most likely sacrifice quality in the
center. I wonder if it's worth it, or whether I should just go with what
I have.
