I think I've figured out why I like the way your
Bender pinhole camera puts that vignette at the
top of the image: It reminds me of the shape of
the photos used in the old stereo viewer cards.

Wonderful images, such a nice feel.
Where does one get a zone plate camera such as the one you are using??

Very nice, Tina!
I wish I could see them in real. The computer format is so limiting. Of course
the chair is the nicest, but I also like the globe and the window images
very much. There is something very intimate in all
I like the chair a lot, beautiful blue there. I also like the other
window shot. They seem a little contrasty (I know, strong backlights
do that), a little dark. Is this a result of the scan? My screen? Or
will you crop these? Have you played with making two exposures,
combining them in Photoshop?
Tina,
Nice photos. I particularly like the chair. How have
you hand colored these?

Giclee is an inkjet print, usually done on rag watercolor paper with a high

Hi Tina
What do you mean by digital giclee prints? I think
someone else asked about this. You might want to reply
on list.
Thanks

Hi Colin!
Thanks for your comments. The waterfall image was taken on Ilford Delta 3200
film with my 2 1/4 converted Lubitel Zone Plate. The umbrella was taken with
a lovely zone plate made by Guillermo Penate for my 35 mm Canon, also on
Delta 3200. Both were developed in Rodinal and then

Tina,
This work is just beautiful, just as the other things I saw of you last
May in Toronto. Is it printed on paper or did you do digital prints on
archival medium?

Hi Tina,
Just wanted to say that I liked the two images you
posted. Really like the way the foreground branches
look engraved in white over the misty waterfall in the
background. Looks rather like an inverted engraving
over an aquatint. Very nice.
Sorry for the inevitable technical question, but
