Here's a great item for making pinhole cameras... Stores that sell carpet throw out the long tubes that the carpet comes rolled on. These are super heavy duty paper tubes and can be 12+ feet long... you can cut them to any length for pinhole cameras. It's easy to make ends for these cameras with

Another possibility is to paint the lid with the flat black paint you painted the inside with and then use aluminum foil over the lid, secured with a rubber band. Not too elegant, but it works! John McAdam
